After the disastrous fire which gutted the School on 21st March 2001 the F.P. Association was re-formed to add weight to the clamour to have the building restored to its former glory and also, in the short term, to support the School in its temporary accommodation.

With the School now back home our vision is to establish a fund to assist Morgan Academy in providing activities that will enhance the education of its pupils and environment. e.g. Music, Sport and Educational Trips

A registered charity in Scotland (SC031579) we have over seven hundred members all of whom have a keen interest in seeing Morgan Academy pupils achieving the best and fullest educational benefit from their time at school.

WHAT ARE WE DOING?

Since 2001 we have shared the cost of a new School Mini Bus, pledged money to help pupils with Gap Year funding, helped with expenses for summer music camps and helped the French Department to finance a trip to Paris . We also assisted with the expenses involved in holding the Prize Giving Ceremonies in the Caird Hall while the school was at Lawton Road .

In this academic year we are again supporting all these activities while also providing finance for the study support group.

We presented the school with a new house championship trophy, The Star, which we commissioned and had made in solid silver, to commemorate the school’s move back to the Morgan building and to replace the original Star which went missing in the 1970s.

We have a dedicated team working to preserve Morgan’s Archive Records, both in their original form and electronically. You will soon be able to buy a complete record of the School Magazines and many class, team and school photographs, some of which appear on this website.

We have a complete record of school captains and house captains and as of 2010 these are now complete and on view.

Enjoy our site and get in touch through the forum or by joining us now.

OUR MISSION IS:
